Severinus is a personal playground. This is one of its forms: a place to spend time, change something and discover another way of looking at it.
One matter, different readings
The artwork grows out of the Severinus Manifesto. Matter, Connections and Words reveal different aspects of the same structure: changing the reading preserves what you have moved. Each representation reveals something and leaves something else in the background. This field is a map too, an invitation to explore the manifesto’s ideas and keep them open to discussion.
A gesture reaches beyond its beginning
Dragging a point sets its surroundings in motion. In Connections, you can follow a tension as it travels. A small part of your gesture enters the new balance: the field allows your passage to change it. With sound on, points and tensions also become something you can hear.
Names can change
In Words, you can rename a point, move a name or remove it, leaving the form intact. You can note what a word means here and keep it in your personal lexicon. The lexicon also keeps revisions: a name can have a history without becoming final. Words and meanings stay in your browser.
Conditions matter
Another possibility changes the starting conditions. The field may be more open, gathered, taut or yielding: the same gesture meets a different response. You can observe, intervene and bring back the form you just left. No configuration is a finish line; chance opens other opportunities to try.
A reading you can rewrite
Whenever you wish, you can ask AI for one or two sentences about the form and a possible word. You send OpenAI an image of the field, the words visible at that moment and a few details about its shape and connections; the rest of your lexicon stays in your browser. The reading concerns the configuration shown. You can rewrite it, edit the suggested word and choose whether to keep it.
Time can remain yours
You can pause the motion, choose sound or silence and keep a moment as an image. The manifesto offers paths you can explore freely. When you return to the field in the same tab, your configuration is restored where the browser allows it. This continuity belongs to the tab’s session; your personal lexicon can accompany later visits too.
A personal place
You can pass through without saying who you are. The site uses no analytics. Your language, sound preference, field state and one previous configuration stay in your browser session; your lexicon is kept locally. Images you choose to keep are created on your device. Nothing is sent to OpenAI until you ask for a reading.
